The Juicys Are Back
Posted June 28th 2012 @ 11:42 am by Jerod
They’re back. I’m so excited to announce The Juicys are in full swing for a second year with bigger grants and a fancy new website. If you’re new to Church Juice—or you’re like me and can’t remember what happened last week—The Juicys are our way of rewarding communications awesomeness. It’s like the Golden Globes of Church Communications.
We know communications can be the thankless job in a church. So we want to stand up and say “You’re doing an awesome job! Now, here’s some cash for your next great idea.”
We’re giving away two $2,000 grants with the possibility of some smaller, runner-up awards, to churches that have great vision for effectively using communications tools to reach their congregations and surrounding communities.
The process is pretty simple. Head over to TheJuicys.org to apply. We want to know what you’ve done that’s great and what you want to do in the future. We’ll break all the applications into categories of larger congregations and smaller congregations. Then we’ll have a panel of smart communication people look over the applications and pick their favorites.
At Church Juice, we believe in the power of the local church. We also hold education as a high value. We’ll share the stories of the churches that get grants as a way to inspire and guide other churches who are looking to do similar kinds of projects. We are all in this together.
Don’t be modest. Be proud of the work you’ve done to build God’s Kingdom. We’re looking for any sort of communications project. It could be a revamped website, a complete rebranding, great use of social media, a new overall communications plan, an outreach campaign or something so cool it’s not in this list.
There are more details over on The Juicys website, plus you can take a look at last year’s winners, so check it out and apply. The deadline is August 3.
