There are a couple times a year when we take a little blogging break. It’s good to stop and refresh. While the blog will be quiet for the next week or so, we’ll still be sharing some stuff from the archives on Facebook and Twitter in case you don’t want time away from us.
Thanks again for being a part of Church Juice. We are thankful you’re here and we believe in the work you’re doing to build God’s Kingdom.
Thanks to everyone who joined in for The Network's Webinar Wednesday where I presented "The Web is Your Church's New Front Door." Some of you asked for a copy of the presentation so here it is along with the church welcome video we showed.
If you missed it, we'll be doing this webinar again next Wednesday, February 1. Or you can watch a recording of this presentation. To learn more about either option, check out this link.
If you’re a podcast kind of guy or gal, check out our conversation with David Tonen on the Ministry Story podcast. Once you get past some of our short juicy self promotion, we just couldn’t help ourselves, David and I dive into talking about some easy things your church can do now to improve your communications plan. It’s based on our free white paper called “Low Hanging Fruit: Six Things You Can Easily Accomplish in the Next Three Months.” More specifically, we expand on three of those...
You can't wait to get your own sweatband set, right? Well, you can be the first winner of this new swag. Leave a comment below and we'll pick a winner early next week. Just so we can all be instant winners, here's a link to a classic Richard Simmons "Sweatin' To The Oldies" video.
As Church Juice continues to grow, one of the things we’re getting to do more and more is being a part of educational workshops. We love being out and about while having conversations with churches who are excited about revamping their communications. So, there are a couple of events coming up I want to let you know about.
Ideas Camp 2011
The Crosspoint Strategic Network and Christian Reformed Home Missions are sponsoring a series of workshops called Ideas Camp. The second stop will be here...
If you’re going to be in Nashville for NRB 2011, we’d love to say hi to you. We’ll be there helping support all of our ReFrame Media ministries.
And if you’re at NRB, we’d like to invite you to a couple of events we’re hosting. First, there’s our annual free concert on Sunday. This year the headlining act is Gungor, a band I just recently found out about, but really like. On Monday afternoon, we’re screening some of the first completed scenes from Blue Like Jazz: The Movie. You’ll have a...
We're going to take a little blogging break this week. But don't worry, we'll still be social. Our Facebook and Twitter feeds will feature some posts from the archive that were written during the early days of Church Juice. Some of you may not have been around yet. As I remember it, when we started it was me, a handful of faithful folks and some tumble weed blowing across the screen. Anyway...hopefully you'll enjoy the glimpses back to the past and we'll return next week with some fresh...
If you're going to be at the Calvin Symposium on Worship in Grand Rapids today or Saturday, Church Juice will be there, too. Here are the two sessions my boss and I will be presenting. They're repeated at the same times Friday and Saturday.
B18: Leading with Light: Using Video Projectors Wisely—Steven Koster (1:15-2:15) What is the screen supposed to do? How do you create media that fits what worship is all about? Using illustrations, techniques, and tools from the field we’ll explore...
After a busy season of preparing for Christmas, we hope you now have some time to relax and savor the joy that comes from knowing the birth of our King has brought us great freedom.
And in case you missed is floating around the internet, here's one of our favorite Christmas videos made this year.
Sure the picture above is random. But who doesn't love canned cranberry sauce and Lego people celebrating Thanksgiving?
I hope your Thanksgiving is a time for you to relax, laugh and truly enjoy what it means to be thankful. This year, I'm thankful for all the work you do to try to make the local church a better place. It can seem like so many churches are broken in so many ways. But true change can come from the individuals who are committed to great things and who put thoughtfulness into...
