There is an art to creating a social media page. It goes far beyond just having a login and password. Actually building a profile takes work. There are header images to make, background pictures to add and content to create before you can even start sharing.
Wouldn’t it be nice if all those things were the same size for every social media site?
Well, they’re not. So we hope to save you a little bit of time with our newest free resource Social Media Sizing Guide. We’ve compiled all...

I don’t always like to admit it, but for the first five years of my professional life, I was a local TV news reporter. That’s right, I was that guy standing in front of a dark, empty building during the evening news giving a live report.
The reason I don’t always mention it is the fact that many people don’t like journalists. They can fall into a semi-slimy category of sorts because they often show up when you don’t want them to be there. At least that's the perception. Yet many times...

One of our goals for 2013 is to create more resources for you. Right now, we’re finishing up a free ebook for churches on how to effectively use Twitter in ministry. It’s a much-needed update to something we originally published back in 2010.
Here’s where you come in. We’d love to hear what works for your church on Twitter. What kinds of tweets get the best response? How are people engaging with what you’re posting? What are the best tips you’d give another church that’s looking to...

There are a couple times a year when we take a little blogging break. It’s good to stop and refresh. While the blog will be quiet for the next week or so, we’ll still be sharing some stuff from the archives on Facebook and Twitter in case you don’t want time away from us.
Thanks again for being a part of Church Juice. We are thankful you’re here and we believe in the work you’re doing to build God’s Kingdom.

Thanks to everyone who joined in for The Network's Webinar Wednesday where I presented "The Web is Your Church's New Front Door." Some of you asked for a copy of the presentation so here it is along with the church welcome video we showed.
If you missed it, we'll be doing this webinar again next Wednesday, February 1. Or you can watch a recording of this presentation. To learn more about either option, check out this link.

I hope you find time during the busyness of Christmas to take a breath, relax and celebrate. As you reflect on the season, my prayer is you realize all the work you’ve done to get ready for Christmas at your church makes a difference. You play a part in communicating the good news of great joy that Jesus Christ is born. And His birth was just the beginning to a radical life that changes people's lives forever. Merry Christmas from all of us at Church Juice and thanks for the faithful...

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Thank you for all the work you do every day to help tell God’s story to the people in your community. The work you do matters and I’m thankful to have you all as a part of the Church Juice community.
If you’re still looking for some Thanksgiving themed videos for this weekend, here are a couple of good ones from Igniter Media. Or maybe you’re just looking for something to watch because you’re so stuffed with Thanksgiving food goodness that...

[Thanks to everyone who entered to win a copy of this awesome book and a set of our cool orange sweatbands. We loved reading all the advice people gave in the comments, too. The randomly picked winners are: Holly K. (Happy Birthday), Natalie, Tom O., Elizabeth G. (Merry Early Christmas) and Nikki T.]
When more than 60 smart church communications people come together to share advice, it has to be good, right? That’s exactly what has happened with the new book Outspoken: Conversations on...

This week, Church Juice turned two. We’re starting to find our voice and we’re throwing less temper tantrums than we expected, so that’s good.
The significance of a second anniversary hit me a few weeks ago. I hadn’t really been thinking about it, but after two years, it seems like a good time to think more about the future. And as I look back at what we’ve done—while also looking forward to the future—I find there are some things that are definitely at the forefront of my mind. And...
